Hi Girls I was just thinking about valentines day and I did my phone  and I want to buy a really pretty dress for valentines day to match my phone. Im not looking for a red and black dress. I want a really elegant classic solid red dress that I can add my own accessories to. Any ideas? hair cut!
hi everyone, wanted to ask you all for some hair cut advice? <3 so i am super, SUPER bored of my hair style. this is my hair:  (it's currently the colour of the middle photo -sorry about the moustache haha - i had to lose the pink because of college! but it's coming back sooooon <3) so my hair is pretty thick and poofy (grrr), so i can't have any sort of drapey, flowy sort of hair style. also, my hair has a natural wave & i rarely straighten it, so i dunno how keen i would be on straight-across bangs or anything that would require toooo much daily maintenence. can anyone help? photos would be good too! :) |

Style(s) of choice: Classic and toned-down Sweet How did you get into sewing lolita stuffs?: I'm poor, and have LOTS of fabric. I bought like 10 yards each of a ton of different fabrics when the local variety store closed, so instead of buying clothing I try to make it. When I discovered and became interested in Lolita fashion, it seemed to make so much more sense to sew Loli too! Now, I have a question. I am making a high-waist skirt out of a medium-weight purple flannel, with lavender/white trim. I am planning to do large box pleats for the join between skirt and waist; is this going to look like crap? By large, I mean there will be a total of six boxes for the whole skirt, taking it from 3x my waist to just barely larger than my waist. The back of the waistband piece will be shirred, to make it fit perfect, and have ribbon laces across the shirring. |

Any shoes on Amazon.com that might work?
I'm in a bit of an odd situation...we're really broke right now, but I got a $70 amazon.com gift card for Christmas and I've been commanded to ONLY spend it on non-necessities. Therefore, I really want to use it to purchase a few things to wear to my first ever lolita tea party. I have already picked out the petticoat I want (a malco modes one) but also wanted to find some shoes. I want flats, as I'm really REALLY frickin tall, and I would like them to be white or light purple. My searching skills don't seem to be up to par tonight, as all I'm finding are point-toe heels >_< does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? For reference, I'll be wearing a medium-dark purple high-waist skirt with white and lavender trim, a white blouse, and a white petti. Does anyone have any sock suggestions, also? I need ones that will fit my thick calves (18 inches of bicycle-riding muscle...sigh). Thanks! |
